Is my data private and secure?
Scanning runs on your device, while saved items, links and optional photos sync to your account. Free users may see ads; Xpir+ removes them. You can manage privacy choices and delete your account in Settings. Read our Privacy Policy for details about data and service providers.
Does the video vault download the actual video files?
No. Xpir saves the link, your notes and available preview information. Videos stay on their original platforms and open in the source app or browser. Previews may be missing or change when a post becomes unavailable.
Is the Free tier actually free?
Yes, completely free forever. The Free tier gives you full access to all tracking features, ML Kit scanning, and push notifications for up to 25 active items and 20 saved video links. It is perfect for stopping everyday food waste. Xpir+ adds unlimited capacity and removes ads. An account is required for both plans.
Can I use Xpir offline without an internet connection?
After signing in and syncing, previously loaded items remain available offline. Label scanning and scheduled local reminders work on your device. Sign-in, cloud sync, link previews and purchases need an internet connection. Notifications depend on your device permissions and settings.
